If you use the CDEC form to keep track of your staff files, there is a training on their titled Child Development Training (2.13.L). I would highly recommend the PDIS training titled Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines. AND I would also say, have them do that training before they even go into a room.

All staff must have at least one (1) hour of child development training within ninety (90) days of employment. This training must include the major domains (cognitive, social, emotional, physical development and approaches to learning). This training is required once and will count toward ongoing training requirements if taken after the date of hire.
